The Business Unit is the organisational unit that creates a Document; it does not denote the Document's scope of application (ADR-0004).
- AC1 Creation with a short code (two to eight characters, beginning with an uppercase letter A–Z, followed by uppercase letters or digits; unique) and a designation in the Working Language; description optional. A short code that is already in use or invalid is rejected. The delivery contains
EAEnterprise Architecture,ESAEnterprise Security Architecture andEDAEnterprise Data Architecture; the designations are proper names and are the same in both languages. - AC2 The short code is immutable after creation: the UI shows it read-only, MCP rejects a change.
- AC3 Editing changes the designation and the description; the other Language Variant is generated in accordance with A26.
- AC4 Deactivation sets active = false; the Business Unit can then no longer be selected when creating or changing a Document, existing Documents remain assigned.
- AC5 The list shows short code, designation (active language), active, number of Documents; filter by active; sortable by short code and designation. The Business Unit does not maintain a number range.
- AC6 Deletion follows A4: rejected if references exist, possible without references, persons only. Documents including tombstones are counted.
